4 Things You Should Give Up If You Want to be Happy On Your Wedding Day

4 Things You Should Give Up If You Want to be Happy On Your Wedding Day

There are a lot of things that can cause you stress and displeasure during your big day. Our best tip for this is to manage expectations and of course set the right mindset in terms of what you want to happen. Here’s a quick guide on the things you should give up / avoid to have a blissful wedding day in the Philippines.

Trust us, nothing can ever go super perfect. Tiny hiccups here and there are anything but normal when planning your big day. There are a lot of factors in planning a wedding. You have multiple suppliers, multiple guests, a whole bunch of details to note, not to mention the unpredictable weather we have in the Philippines. Expecting everything to be perfect may only cause you stress and anxiety. Ease up, and breathe, nothing is perfect but everything has a solution.

It’s YOUR wedding day. We repeat, it’s YOURS...and a bit of your groom’s ;) Just kidding! Don’t try to please everyone because at the end of the day, it’s your special event and not theirs. Have a caterer you like but your tita has a friend who moonlights as one? Pick the caterer YOU like. Your wedding is a once in a lifetime event and you should always have fond memories of it...memories that you will appreciate.

As we’ve mentioned, things can go wrong during wedding planning. A great reason why you should definitely hire a wedding coordinator to help you have a smooth sailing event. But even with this, worrying about the small stuff can still stress you out. When dealing with a crisis, always keep an open mind and as for help. It may not be such a big deal after all once you’ve truly assessed the situation.

In the age of social media, its very easy to compare and get jealous of the things we see on instagram, facebook and pinterest. Once we see something we like, we tend to compare and wish we have what we think is better from our mobile screens. Comparing your wedding to the ones online or even your friend’s wedding will only result in discontentment or jealousy. After all, the grass is always greener on the other side. Stop comparing your wedding and enjoy your hard work! Your wedding is gonna be awesome and you know it!

Now that you know what you should avoid, here is something that you MUST do to be happy on your wedding day.
